California Dreamin'

We were so blessed to be able to go to the 2014 Hubers Family Reunion in Huntington Beach the last weekend of June. We also celebrated my Uncle Dave and Aunt Shirley's 50th Wedding Anniversary!! It was an amazing time and we wish we could go back again!! I think the biggest piece I'm missing is spending so much time with family!

Unfortunately Ryan didn't join us on the trip (he stayed home to work 😢). I had so many helpers, especially my parents!!, with the two kids, especially on the plane!  The plane rides went well - Abbie slept during take off and landing for both flights. Cameron was mesmerized by all the activity on the plane, as well as looking out the window. He did ok, but it's hard to keep a two year old entertained for 3 hours in a confined space! He napped a short time on the way there and not at all on the way back. I wrapped presents for him (colors, puzzles, race cars, etc.) to open on the ride, so of course he loved opening them but then didn't want to play with them! Agh!

We had busy yet relaxing days in HB! Spent a morning at the beach, biking along the Pacific Coast Highway, going down the slides, chillin by the pool, and spending lots and lots of time with family!!

Riding a shuttle bus to the airport!

Waiting for our flight!

A little apprehensive for his first airplane ride, but he did pretty good!

Sleepy bug during the flights!

Our Welcome Bucket from our thoughtful CA cousins!

Breakfast on the patio

Chillin with Uncle Tom "who lives in the mountains" :) C and Tom pretended they were robots wearing the gold glasses. They kept saying "I am a robot" in a very robotic voice. C is still saying that :)

Our view for dinner every night from Uncle Tom and Aunt Mary's balcony

Roasting S'mores

More s'more roasting and snuggling

He LOVED the beach and the soft sand!!!

Snack time at the beach with cousins!

He also LOVED the ocean and jumping in the waves. I had a hard time getting him out of there!

Walking to the HB pier. How many kids can we fit in a stroller?!

Walking along the pier

Silly Blake!

Biking along the Pacific CoastHighway

As we were biking it got breezy...
C: Mom I'm getting chilly can I have my coat?
Me: Your coat is back at the hotel buddy, we'll get it when we get back.
C: Well then can you at least roll up the windows please?
