Those are 3 words to describe our little boy! He cut his first tooth this past Sunday and on the same day, started to rock on his hands and knees and start to scootch!! The next day was followed by his first word of Dada!!
Overall with his tooth, we were very thankful he wasn't overly crabby! He had a low grade fever for 2 days and only cried in pain for 15 minutes before bed on Sunday. It was painful for me to hear him scream in pain, but it was an amazing "mom moment" for me when I gave him orajel, a frozen teether, and I snuggled and rocked my baby to sleep. I snuggled him a little longer that night knowing I rarely get snuggles anymore already!!
We had a busy but fun filled time this past weekend. Saturday started with us going to Annandale for Ryan's cousin Kayla's graduation open house. It was fun to see everyone and especially Kayla as she leaves for basic training next week! After that, we drove to Pease and Ryan dropped me off at the church for Gretchen Koppendrayer's wedding. Embarrassing moment: Cameron let out a HUGE and LOUD belch right as it got quiet before Gretchen walked down the aisle... sorry Gretch!!! Hope it didnt make the wedding video... Needless to say, we watched the rest of the wedding in the narthex!!!
After the wedding, we went to Papa Dave's Spaghetti benefit dinner at the legion, put on by his kids. It was fun to see everyone and Cameron did a really good job, considering he was drug to a lot of events that day! I brought him back to my parents around 8 and put him to bed. My parents came home around 10 and I went back to the Legion. After a night of Karoke (who knew Uncle Andy could sing "La Bamba" in Spanish, that Auntie Amber would pick up a mic while sober, why Auntie Jessica isn't a famous singer yet, and that Ryan would sing me our wedding song?!?), and Foosball at the Blue Moon, we didn't get home until after 2. It was a really fun day, but I was one tired mama, as usually my bedtime is around 9! :)
Sunday was Ryan's first Father's Day!! We went up to my parents (C spent the night there) and had lunch with them, Uncle Patrick, and Auntie Jill. After hanging out for a bit, we then went to see Papa Dave and Grandma Chris. After a couple hours, I took C home because he was pretty crabby after no afternoon nap!! (Auntie Jessica took Ryan home later...) Cameron and I played in the basement and that's where he made his first scootching/crawling movements!! So exciting!! Cameron made Ryan a framed poem titled "Walk with me Daddy" with his hand prints on it and also a giftcard for him to spend at Sears!
All week we've been practicing his crawling and on Monday night, Ryan kept saying Dada to him. About 10 minutes later he kept saying Dada!! And it isn't a fluke because he's done it just about every night this week!! We don't think he knows what it means, but at least he said it!! Yay!!!
This weekend is baptism. Another busy, but fun weekend!!
