Toes?!

Last week's great discovery: Cameron has toes!!! He loves to grab onto his piggies and pull on his socks! He can almost get them up to his chest, but not quite there yet! This new discovery now makes diaper changes and getting dressed more tricky! Or mom just needs to get quicker at it :)

We put together his high chair last week and he loves to sit in it and play with toys! Its amazing how quickly he learned to pick up his toys from the tray and also so funny how frustrated he gets when he can't pick them up! Where did he learn to express the emotion of frustration when he doesn't get what be wants?? Its things like that that continue to amazing me about our God and how he magnificently created each and every one of us!

This past weekend, we celebrated cousin Lilly's first birthday and it was so fun to see everyone! Also, my college roommate Crystal and her husband Mark came to MN for a visit to meet Cameron! It was also good to see them along with Julie and Cassie, too!

We go in for his 4 month check up next week. I'm anxious to know how much he weighs and has grown in the last 2 months. He ate 39 oz last Friday and 40 on Saturday... holy smokes!! Its pretty neat to see him figure out how to hold his bottle... can't quite do it alone, but he definitely understands the concept!!

This upcoming Sunday Cameron gets baptized!! We're so excited to see all of our family and friends! Also, Auntie Amber and Amdy come home next week... WE CANT WAIT!!!!!!!

Wonder Woman

May sound cheesy, but after completing our 3rd week of being a working family, I feel like Wonder Woman most days! Between our long days and getting housework done and still making time for friends and family, we're both exhausted! Officially welcome to parenthood, right?? :))

Cameron continues to do well in daycare and grow like a weed! He's averaging 30 to 35 oz a day and sleeping anywhere from 8 to 12 hours a night ... growth spurt anyone?! He's still very fascinated with his fingers and everything goes in his mouth! I've also noticed his ability to look at something and grab it is getting stronger. Not many misses when he grabs something including hair and earrings!

The other hilarious thing is sometimes he'll mimic our laughs. Ryan was playing with him and laughing out loud... a minute later Cameron would try to mimic his laugh. It was soo funny!! Of course I pulled out our iPad to record it and then he was done....

Auntie Jill came over yesterday to give Cameron his Easter basket and I enjoyed eating all the treats :)) Yummm!! Thanks, Auntie!! We also Skyped Uncle Tom in Saturday evening. Cameron was curious about who was on the screen and giggled/talked quite a bit, it was so fun!

Manson is always jealous of Cameron's squeaky Sophie teether, so we bought him a squeeky chicken. The squeeker only lasted an annoying 15 minutes, but at least we had a happy puppy!!

Ryans sister Amber comes home from Kuwait sometime in the next 2 weeks. We are SOOO excited to see her and have missed her and her boyfriend Andy so much!!! (Andy was deployed with her). The first group of Red Bulls came home Sunday and it was aired on the news... I bawled like a baby thinking of them coming home. Look out, Andy and Auntie Amber, we have lots of love, hugs and kisses to give you when you get home!! We've missed you!!

First Easter!

Week 2 of being back to work and daycare is under our belt! All I can say is that it is flat out exhausting! By the time we get out the door by 6am and get back home around 5:30, then with dinner, washing bottles, bath time, and getting ready for the next day, I crash by the end of the night! Another change this week is that Ryan started work this past Thursday. It was good for him to get back into the swing of things, but now makes it even more busy for us! Although it is easier for me to get out the door in the morning knowing that he still isn't in bed sleeping :))

Last Sunday, Cameron and I went to Uncle Patrick and Auntie Jill's house for a few hours to hang out. We went for a walk to the park and then hung out watching TV and eating jelly beans. Then this past Wednesday, he had a sleep over at Nama and Nampa's (Grandpa and Grandma Hubers') house! My parents took him for the night, then watched him on Thursday for the day to get in cuddle and play time. It was nice having a break on Wednesday night because I came down with a cold on Tuesday, so I enjoyed my extra hour or so of sleep!

To kick off our Easter weekend, Cameron and I went up to Milaca to see our friends Megan and Ryan, and their 2 girls, Jalyn and Liana (and to rub Megan's tummy which holds Baby #3!! :)) at her mom Sheryl's house. It was so fun to just relax and catch up, along with dying Easter eggs, eating Easter cookies and putting bunny ears on our little man :) Then today, we went to our church's Easter service and then down to Le Seur to Auntie Rachel's house. Unfortunately, Cameron was NOT having a good day at all, so there were a lot of crying and tears today, but I'm not quite sure why! I still think it has to do with teething... He's still drooling like a machine, sucks on his fingers all the time and his dirty diapers are the least to be desired... But we still had a very fun time eating yummy food, hearing the Easter story for the first time by Great Grandma Sorensen and having his first Easter egg hunt! He scored Twix's and Snickers for mommy and daddy and .75cents went into his piggy bank! Thanks, Auntie Rachel!!

Cameron had another great week at daycare! His teachers always give him lots of praise about how good he is, which continues to be a huge blessing to Ryan and I! We tease Cameron that the cute girl in his class, Stella, is his girlfriend... it makes him blush and giggle :))

He continues to be an active little guy! Still rolling from tummy to back and back to tummy. He's continues to get stronger with his head and just glows when we talk to him (when he's in the mood, that is....) It's so adorable because after he comes home from daycare, he just can't get enough of Ryan. I, on the other hand, am chopped liver once he sees Ryan.

We hope everyone had a Blessed Easter and remembered the real reason for getting together with family and friends today: Jesus has risen from the dead and saved us from our sins! Alleluia!

Snuggling Auntie after our Walk!

Jalyn coloring Cameron's eggs while he snoozes in the swing!
She did such a good job!

Cameron's First Easter Egg Basket!
One egg for Mommy (purple), One for Cameron (orange), and one for Daddy (green)!

Not so interested in his egg, but wants to get into his basket!

I found my first Easter egg!

We Survived!

We survived our first week of full time "school"!

Cameron did really well, too! He received praises from his teachers every day on what a good baby he is! Such a relief for us to hear! In fact, one of the biggest worries I had and shared with his teachers is how he doesn't nap much during the day, but TA DA!, he naps like a champ AND in his crib for them! Now only if he'd do that at home.... He gets a sheet sent home with him every day on when he ate, diaper changes, and what educational piece that worked on for the day (large/small motor skills, sign language, emotional sense, etc.) A teacher named Ms. Linda likes to come and snuggle Cameron during the day and she says he's a sweet baby. Wait, why doesn't my baby snuggle me anymore?! What has daycare done to him?! At least he's a good baby there... it means less worries for us!!

Transitioning back to work fulltime has been okay. It's quite an adjustment with getting up at 4:30 now and being out the door with Cameron by 6 and not getting home until 5 or 5:30. Needless to say, as soon as Cameron is in bed by 7:00/7:30 or so, I go shortly after he does! It has also helped our transition that Ryan is still home, so he is of course still a huge help. Once he goes back to work, I'll be all on my own because he usually works until 7/8:00 at night sometimes.

Otherwise we didn't plan anything else into our week, because we weren't sure how it would go! We are looking forward to Easter next week and seeing family! We are going to Le Seur to Auntie Rachel's house and Cameron will be able to meet some of his Aunties and Cousins that he hasn't been able to meet yet.
