Graduated

Our little guy has officially outgrown his infant car seat!! He looks like such a big boy!! It was another milestone that gave me a pang in my gut that my little baby is getting too big!

We enjoyed a relaxing weekend of hanging out with our happy baby! The past 2 weekends he's been more happy than he normally is on the weekends and we absolutely love it! He's crawling everywhere and getting into everything! Also, he's really good at pulling himself up onto everything too: couches, chairs, ottomans, even our legs!

We went up to my parents house this past weekend and our little guy figured out how to climb the two small stairs leading up to the kitchen! I was shocked as he climbed the first stair and couldn't believe when he climbed the second! Of course he didn't figure out how to go down which upset him and resulted in a small bump on his head!

Food is another favorite of his too now! In the beginning he wasn't a huge fan of his foods, and I'm so glad we didn't push it because he seems to enjoy them more now. He's officially had avocados, sweet potatoes, green beans, carrots, bananas, apples, and prunes! Yes, prunes and you can probably guess why! The food has made him a bit constipated. The other factor for that is he has officially started formula. We're doing half formula, half breast milk bottles and so far, he doesn't seem to notice!

Another milestone (and even though its gross I still feel I should write about it for him to read about and be embarrassed about in the future) is that Cameron's poop went into the potty for the first time!! Yup, you read that right, but unfortunately we don't have a potty trained baby... he pooped in the tub!! It was quite disgusting!! At least he felt better but this momma was quite grossed out!

This upcoming weekend we are heading up to my Uncle Dave and Aunt Shirley's cabin for a Hubers family reunion! My cousins, aunt and uncle are coming out from CA. We are so excited to see them and to introduce Cameron to them!!!

Splish Splash

We've upgraded to sitting in a seat for bath time!! Its so much easier than in the tiny infant tub we were using. Cameron loved it and bath time is now more enjoyable for everyone!! Yay!! :))

Buddies

Its so fun to watch Ryan and Cameron play together. They are the best of buds and I could sit all day and watch Ryan make Cameron giggle and laugh!! It's also cute to watch them snuggle before bedtime, too. Cameron loves to chill and watch baseball and golf with his daddy!!

I am so incredibly blessed! I love my boys to pieces!!

4 Legged Baby Monster!

Look out, world! We have a crawler!!

This past Tuesday, he all of a sudden took off! He's been lunging forward and towards things he wants for a couple weeks, but he officially has the movements and motions of crawling down. He's still a little unsteady, so it's really funny as he lumbers towards something with his arms flopping up and down and his little leggers following behind. He kind of looks like a 4 legged baby monster! :)

Tuesday was also a big day as he pulled himself up to his feet for the first time! We have an "activity table" that plays music and sings, along with buttons, lights and all of a sudden, he was on his feet! I was sitting behind him and it happened all too quickly! He had pulled himself up to his knees a few times, but this was the first time to his feet. He's done it a handful of times since then, too, which means I'm afraid we'll have an early walker. I'm just getting used to the fact that my baby is crawling - I'm not ready to even think about walking yet!

We went in for his 6 month check up on July 3. He was 18 lbs, 14 oz and about 28 inches long. He was in the 95th percentile for his head circumference (yay for a growing brain!) and length, and dipped to the 65th percentile for his weight. Nothing to worry about with his weight, he's just getting taller! His pediatrician was impressed that he was almost crawling, was trying to climb her like a tree during the exam, and that he was playing with the paper covering the exam table. She said it was all normal, healthy things that babies his age should or could be doing.

We're still making progress with his foods! After the fail of avocodoes, we moved onto sweet potatoes! Those have been going better, but he only likes to eat food that is mixed with rice cereal. He LOVES his rice cereal and could eat that non stop! Next on the list, I am going to make him bananas and green beans. YUM YUM!

Last week for Cameron's first 4th of July, we didn't do anything except hang out at home! We were going to go swimming at Uncle Patrick and Auntie Jill's, but decided to postpone that to last Saturday when it wasn't quite so hot out! We were all in bed by 8:30 that night and didn't even watch fireworks! Next year we'll have to :)

Last week Saturday after the 3 of us got home swimming at Patrick and Jill's, we grilled burgers and brought his walker out on the deck for him to sit in. We were playing peek a boo with his burp rag and after we were done playing, we let him play with it. A few minutes later, we noticed that he was playing peek a boo with it by himsefl! He'd take the rag, cover his face, and then pull it down really quickly. It was too funny! So of course, we joined back in and played peek a boo with him like that for awhile longer. It was nice not having to move the rag up and down, over and over again, and it was fun watching him do it himself!

This past Sunday we went to Great Grandma Sorensen's cabin in Spicer to celebrate Great Auntie Rachel's 50th birthday! It was so much fun being on the lake and spending time with everyone. Quite a few of Ryan's family was able to make it and it's always fun relaxing and seeing everyone!

Today was a low key Saturday. Cameron and I slept in until 7:30 while Ryan went off to work. Then, my friend Jessica brought over some fun toys that her girls were done playing with - thanks, Jessica! Cameron loves crawling through the caterpillar tunnel... it's so funny to play peek a boo with him while we're on opposite ends of the tunnel. Then, we met Amber and Andy at Cabela's in Rogers. There were up doing some shopping and we decided to meet them and check out all the fishies! Cameron loved staring at the fish in the aquariums, as well as spend some time smiling and playing with his auntie and uncle!

This week's goal: practicing with a sippy cup! No, we're not phasing out the bottle, but I'm going to start introducing the sippy cup during meal time and try to start using the bottle for mornings and bed times.

My absolute favorite picture of my Love!

Peek a Boo!

Crawling through my new tunnel!

I think I'll just rest here and watch you swim for awhile!

Baptized

Last week was another busy one and full of more milestones!

Baptism: Cameron was baptized at our church, Central Lutheran, on June 24. He did so well during the service and the actual ceremony. He was asleep when we went up to the front, so he had a funny "What the.. where am I?!" look on his face as the water woke him up. He also did really well following the service when we had lunch at church. He was over tired from having a shorter morning nap and from everyone holding him, but Great Uncle Tim had the touch and got him to sleep!

Teeth: His 2nd tooth on the bottom popped through! He was a trooper with that, too, and barely fused. You could tell he wasn't himself, but overall he did good! He did have some green goop coming out of his eyes beginning on Saturday. By Monday, daycare called and they thought it was pink eye. So I brought him to the Dr on Tuesday morning and it was a...

Double Ear Infection: Poor guy!! He wasn't very cranky and never pulled on his ears or cried a lot. We were lucky he wasn't acting worse, which hopefully means he wasn't in a ton of pain. He's on amoxicillan for 10 days and hopefully clears everything up!

Sitting up: we officially have a sitter!! He does pretty darn well without any support or help, but we still have a few falls and bumps here and there. The big mark on his left check is probably one of the many to come as he becomes more adventurous!

Lunging, aka crawling: if he wants something, he'll get it!! He doesn't have the crawling motion down yet, but he can definitely get up his momentum and lunge towards things! Cameron-proofing the house is right around the corner!

Avocados: His first real food! He wasn't a huge fan... after 10 bites or so, he started to give sour looking faces. So I gave him his usual cereal and he ate 2 servings and 3 oz of milk. We'll keep trying!

Bath Time: He officially out grew his infant bath tub!! He loves to move around and splash and the little tub isn't cutting it anymore. Time to upgrade!!

Too many milestones this past week... my baby is getting too big!!
