What an eventful weekend we had!

To kick it off on Friday, I went to a friends wedding while my dad babysat. I did take C to the reception because it was in Rogers and he did a really good job!! I didn't know how long he'd last but we stayed until 9!

Then on Saturday, we took a day trip to Iowa to go to my Grandpa and Grandma Ruter's 60th wedding anniversary celebration! Me, C, my dad and Jill drove down together. He did pretty well but its a good thing he had Grandpa in the backseat to play with because he sure got restless at the end! C got to meet his great grandparents along with many aunts and uncles for the first time! He also got to meet his second cousin, Andrew, who is only 12 days younger than him. We had fun playing with Andrew and my Aunt Jen in Grandma and Grandpa's basement where it was nice and cool... it was 90 degrees out!! Jill, C and I left about 6 and he did well on the way home, too. But it was a good thing Auntie Jill was with because I couldn't have done it alone! By the time we dropped Jill off, C was awake, so we played with Uncle Patrick for awhile to wear off some energy!!

Yesterday, we went back to Jill and Patrick's to play in their pool! C really enjoyed it!! It was so fun to see him kicking his little feet in the water and relaxing in his floatie. It wore him out so Auntie took him for a walk to get him to nap while I got to take a nap on the couch. Thanks, Auntie Jill!! :)

We're so excited for Ryan to come home soon!! He went out to North Dakota to buy one of his step dad's trucks (his other one's engine sadly blew up a few weeks back...). He's waiting for it to get fixed and then will be back home. Being a "single" parent is exhausting!!

We have another busy weekend ahead of us: Gretchen Koppendrayer's wedding, Ryan's cousin Kayla's graduation open house, Papa Dave's benefit and then Ryan's first Father's Day!!!! 

But we have to get through the week first before we can have more fun again! :)
